Certified Surgical Technologist Job in Charleston, SC

MUSC Health Charleston is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 16, 2026. You will work 4x10 hour day shifts, 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM, in a Level 1 trauma facility with diverse surgical specialties.

Schedule & Expectations

• 4x10 day shift schedule (6:30 AM–5:00 PM)
• Holiday rotation required
• One weekend shift per 4-week schedule period
• Up to 4 on-call shifts per 4-week schedule period
• Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called-off hours equal 1 full shift
• May float within scope and between like units and sister facilities as needed

Case Types & Specialties

• Orthopedic (total joints, spine, trauma)
• Neurosurgery (craniotomy, spinal fusion)
• ENT (flaps)
• Robotics (Da Vinci Xi)
• Transplants and procurements
• Trauma and burns
• GU/GYN cases

Requirements

• Current NBSTSA (NCCT not accepted)
• BLS certification
• Minimum 2 years surgical technologist experience
• Level 1 trauma experience required
• Radiation badge (provided by agency)
• Core skills: burns, craniotomy, Da Vinci robotics, spinal fusion, total hip replacement, total knee replacement, trauma

Preferred Experience

Neuro (spines/craniotomy), ENT (flaps), and Da Vinci Xi robotics cases. First-time travelers are accepted.
