Med Surg RN Job in Springfield, MO

Mercy Hospital Springfield is seeking an RN for a 13-week travel assignment on its Neuro Orthopedics unit. You will work 3x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) with weekly pay of $2,102.40.

Assignment Details

• 13-week duration, start date October 1, 2026
• 36 or 48 guaranteed weekly hours
• Night shift with day-shift orientation; you must be available the entire orientation week
• Weekend hours as required by facility; no call requirements
• Rotate on a float basis
• 27-bed orthopedic unit; patient ratios nights 1:6–1:8 (estimates, not guarantees)

Your Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients post-trauma, post-surgery, and with medical comorbidities
• Use the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Monitor and coordinate care with ancillary departments
• Demonstrate competence in drug titration
• Operate Alaris pumps, telemetry, and lift equipment
• Document in EPIC EMR system

Requirements

• Current RN license; eligible for or currently licensed in Missouri
• BLS certification from AHA (required before start)
• NIHSS certification (must be obtained prior to start)
• Minimum 1 year telemetry experience in an inpatient setting
• Orthopedic inpatient experience preferred
• ACLS certification from AHA preferred

Black scrubs required. Torn clothing, open-toed shoes, and non-scrub attire are not acceptable.
