Med Surg RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

You'll work as a Registered Nurse on the Medical Surgical unit at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Nursing in Saint Louis, Missouri. This is a 91-day travel assignment offering flexibility in your schedule.

Schedule and Hours

• 4 shifts per week at 12 hours each (nights), or choose 3x12 shifts if preferred
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call duties
• Maximum 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract

What You'll Do

• Provide primary care nursing to adults and geriatric patients
• Specialize in Cystic Fibrosis and lung transplant cases, with general medicine overflow
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:3–4 across days, nights, and weekends
• Float within the service line as needed

Required Skills and Certifications

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Central line blood draw, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), isolation precautions and PPE, PCA, phlebotomy, and IV insertion and maintenance

Support and Environment

• Interdisciplinary support available: physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, social services, and rapid response teams
• Navy blue scrubs

Compensation and Housing

• Weekly pay: $2,432
• You must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
