Med Surg RN Job in Augusta, GA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse on the Medical Surgical unit at Piedmont Augusta Hospital in Augusta, Georgia. This is a 98-day travel assignment with a start date of October 26, 2026.

Schedule & Pay

• 3x12 shifts, nights
• $1,803 weekly
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• Maximum 7 days requested time off per contract
• Holiday coverage required: work all major holidays if one or two fall in your assignment period; work two if three fall within it

The Role

You'll care for a patient population of adults to geriatrics with a 1:5–6 patient ratio in a 49-room unit with average daily census of 48. Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required; first-time travelers accepted with charge experience preferred. You'll perform your own vital sign checks and blood glucose checks, float within the facility and scope of practice as needed, and wear navy blue scrubs.

• BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management, colostomy/ileostomy care, feeding tube management, heparin administration, high flow nasal cannula, insulin administration, isolation precautions and PPE, telemetry monitoring, wound care and wound vac, pre/post hemodialysis management, renal failure care, PICC line management, PCA, phlebotomy, peripheral line care, and rapid response/code team participation

Systems & Support

You'll chart in Epic, manage Pyxis, and use SBAR communication. Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation. Lifting equipment is available.
