Operating Room RN Job in Pasadena, TX

Join HCA Houston Southeast as a Registered Nurse in our 10-bed Operating Room. This is a day shift position running 3 twelve-hour shifts per week for a 13-week travel assignment beginning September 7, 2026. You will earn $1,971 weekly.

Role Overview

You will work in a 1:1 patient ratio environment supporting a range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties. Your responsibilities include perioperative nursing care, equipment management, and coordinating with the surgical team to maintain efficient case flow. No floating to other units is required.

Shift and On-Call Requirements

Your primary commitment is day shift (0630–1900). On-call coverage is required, including weekly on-call duties and one weekend per month for night shift backup.

Surgical Specialties

Required experience in orthopedics, general surgery, urology, and gynecology. Preferred experience includes ENT, vascular (non-cardiac), and pediatric cases.

Common Procedures

• Open, laparoscopic, and robotic general cases (appendectomy, cholecystectomy, bariatric procedures)
• Robotic and traditional orthopedic cases (total knees, hips, trauma orthopedics)
• Laparoscopic and robotic gynecological procedures (hysterectomies, tubal ligations)
• Emergent interventions as needed

Requirements and Preferences

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• BSN preferred
• Multi-specialty surgical equipment proficiency

Facility Information

You will work with the Meditech EMR system, which is converting to Expanse. The facility utilizes multi-specialty surgical equipment and maintains a collaborative team environment. Dress code is cobalt blue scrubs.
