Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

• Day shift position with 36 or 48 hours available per week
• 13-week or 26-week contract options with September starts available
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required; must work 2 out of 3 winter holidays
• Self-scheduling model in place; manager will work to accommodate schedule preferences but cannot guarantee desired schedule
• Work across all units of the Children's Hospital including NICU, PICU, high-risk deliveries, and acute care pediatrics
• Must be competent in caring for neonates, infants, adolescents, and pediatric patient populations
• Must have Level 4 NICU experience
• Cardiac PICU experience preferred
• Must be competent in the use of the Bunnell Jet Ventilator and HFOV 3100A
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills required to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Epic experience required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, RRT
• PALS and ACCS preferred
• Virginia state license required; pending license accepted if temporary license can be obtained before start date; must hold another state license to be eligible for temporary license
