Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

• Provide direct nursing care for patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Manage care of assigned patients and direct activities of ancillary staff
• Assess patients' physiological and psychological needs in a competent and comprehensive manner
• Plan, implement, and evaluate patients' care plans
• Demonstrate leadership skills through performance of charge nurse functions
• Work with a patient ratio of 5:1 on days, nights, and weekends
• Weekend coverage required
• On-call required depending on census
• Self-scheduling available
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with Epic charting system required
• Experience with Med/Surg Telemetry required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Valid California RN License required
• Key skills required include telemetry monitoring, blood product administration, central line care and management, heparin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias, management of dysrhythmias, tracheostomy care, wound care and wound vac, PICC line management, and use of Rapid Response/Code teams
