Med Surg RN Job in Chattanooga, TN

Join Parkridge East Hospital as a travel RN on our 30-bed Medical Surgical unit. You'll work the night shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on a 3x12 schedule, rotating between 2 North and 2 West. This 91-day assignment offers hands-on patient care with a 1:6 ratio and strong unit support: 2–3 technicians, a clinical coordinator, charge nurse, manager, and director on each shift.

Your Responsibilities:

• IV starts and lab draws
• Nasogastric tube placement and wound care
• Cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Equipment operation: wound vac, heparin drip, suction, IV pumps, glucometers, bladder scanner, feeding pump, and telemetry
• Documentation via Editech system
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation
• Patient and family support, including service recovery and appropriate escalation through chain of command

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• BLS certification
• Experience with IV starts, nasogastric tube placement, wound care, and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Proficiency with medical-surgical equipment and telemetry systems
