Med Surg RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

Mercy Hospital St Louis is seeking an RN for a Med Surg Neuro position on the night shift. This is a 91-day contract role working 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with 48 guaranteed hours per week at $2,281 weekly pay.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care on a Neuro-Surgical unit with a patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Care for patients with stroke, seizures, MS, spinal cord injury, head trauma, and other neurological diagnoses or neurosurgery procedures
• Coordinate patient care with other departments and evaluate care effectiveness
• Float within scope of practice as needed
• Accept occasional Charge Nurse responsibilities
• Document and communicate using the EPIC EMR system

Schedule & Time Off:

• Night shift with day shift orientation; you must be available the entire week for onboarding
• Every other full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required unless otherwise approved
• Up to 5 days of requested time off per 13-week period can be automatically approved
• Expected to work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day)
• No call requirements

Requirements:

• Current RN license
• Minimum 1 year of inpatient acute care Med Surg and Neuro experience
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• FIT test required on site
• Black scrubs
