Respiratory Therapist Job in Asheville, NC

You will work as a Respiratory Therapist at Mission Hospital in Asheville, providing respiratory care across critical care units and floors. This is a 91-day travel assignment with a night shift schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, running from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, starting June 29, 2026.

Your Role

You will be based in the Respiratory Services department on floor A343 (Main RT department) and float to all critical care units and floors as needed. Your patient load will range from 10 to 25 patients per shift. Night shift typically staffs 12–16 RRTs for adult service lines and 3–4 RRTs for NICU/Peds service lines.

Equipment & Systems

You will work with a range of respiratory equipment including:

• GE R860 Adult ventilators
• Draeger Infant/Peds ventilators
• Newport HT70 transport ventilator
• V60 Non-invasive device
• Vapotherm and Comfort Flow high flow oxygen devices

The facility uses Cerner EMR for documentation and record-keeping.

Schedule & Requirements

You will work a varying weekend schedule with at least four weekend shifts per 6-week cycle. Medium gray/pewter scrubs are required. You must maintain current RRT, BLS, and ACLS certifications, as well as a North Carolina Respiratory License. PALS certification is required, and NRP certification is preferred.

Compensation

You will receive weekly pay of $1,553 for this assignment.
