Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Float position covering medical, surgical, oncology, neuro, renal, and cardiology units
• Day and weekend shift patient ratio of 1:5-6; night shift patient ratio of 1:6
• Every other weekend required or 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule minimum (Saturday and Sunday); plus holiday rotation obligation
• No on-call required
• Will float within service line to meet facility needs; pre-assignment to a particular unit will be communicated in advance
• Workers in float pool are required to call into a recorded line up to 1 hour before scheduled shift start time to receive unit assignment
• Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13-week contract; cancelled shifts must be regular shift length
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA)
• IV start and telemetry skills required
• NIH stroke scale (NIHSS) certification preferred
• Must be proficient with lift devices (training provided), ceiling lifts, and bladder scanner
• Charting system: EPIC
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Parking: Free
• Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
• Daily census: 28 to 50 depending on specific unit
• Maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
