RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Night shift position on a Medical Surgical Oncology unit
• 3x12-hour shifts per schedule (36 hours guaranteed per week)
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• 2 years of experience required
• Weekend requirement: 2 shifts every other weekend; night shift can be Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on existing rotation
• No on-call required
• Floating within service line required at times
• Epic charting experience required
• Navy scrubs required
• Free parking available
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS, Fire Safety
• Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, administration of chemotherapy, interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, monitoring chemotherapy, MS/Tele, PCA, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry oncology, and use of rapid response/code teams
• Treat adult patients with Medical/Surgical/Oncology diagnoses
• Unit includes two Comfort Care Suites for end-of-life patients
• Unit Secretary provides interdisciplinary support
• 28-room Medical Oncology unit with a daily census of 19 patients
