Telemetry RN Job in Reno, NV

Renown Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 91-day travel assignment on our 38-bed telemetry unit in Reno, Nevada. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours and no on-call requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care with typical ratios of 1:4 to 1:6, adjusted by acuity and workload
• Manage patients with conditions including CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedure patients (pacemakers, ablations, cath lab procedures, and post-open heart surgery patients downgraded from ICU)
• Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro
• Identify and interpret cardiac rhythm strips as part of competency requirements
• Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, Critical Care Techs, and Advanced Care Techs on the unit
• Float to intensive care units for telemetry or medical-appropriate assignments, medical-surgical units, and additional campus locations as needed

Schedule and Requirements:

• Night shift hours; schedule varies based on department needs and may include weekends and holidays
• Required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift per 4-week schedule period
• Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
• Must pass a telemetry competency exam
• Prior travel nursing experience of at least one 13-week assignment required
• Active Nevada RN license required before start date
• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (APEX)

Compensation: $2,496.60 weekly. Assignment begins October 19, 2026.
