ED Registered Nurse Job in Rochester, NY

Join Rochester General Hospital as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department. This is a 15-week travel contract offering competitive weekly pay of $2,380 for night shift work.

Shift and Schedule:

• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• 3 shifts per week
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday availability as needed

Patient Care:

You will care for adults and geriatric patients across all emergency diagnoses with a patient ratio of 1:5. You'll handle a broad range of emergency presentations including trauma, cardiac events, stroke, and pediatric emergencies. Floating within your skillset is required.

Required Experience and Credentials:

• Active New York Single State RN license (non-Compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of emergency nursing experience
• EPIC charting experience (hard requirement)
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC

Clinical Skills Required:

• IV therapy including blood product administration
• Central line care and phlebotomy
• IV vasopressor management
• CPAP/BiPAP and ventilator management
• Cardiac monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation
• CVA/stroke, neuro-trauma, spinal cord injury, and TBI care
• Emergency care for gunshot wounds and orthopedic trauma
• Isolation precautions and triage

Equipment and Standards:

You will work with specialized equipment including Bair hugger, rapid infuser, and safe patient handling equipment. Scrubs should be any combination of navy blue and white.

• Candidates within 75 miles of the facility are not eligible
