PCU RN Job in Omaha, NE

CHI Health Immanuel is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Progressive Care Unit in Omaha, Nebraska. This is a 91-day travel assignment starting August 31, 2026, with 3x12-hour night shifts at $2,382 weekly pay.

Schedule and Unit Details

• 12-hour night shifts, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every third holiday requirement
• No on-call or standby requirement

Clinical Environment

The 35-bed PCU serves adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including cardiac, nephrology, strokes, diabetes management, and continuous EEG monitoring. Patient ratios are 1:4–5 RNs with nurse aides and patient care techs at 1:10 or 2:20. You will titrate drips including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications. Floating to medical floors, ICU, or rehab may occur as needed.

Requirements and Certifications

• Active RN license
• ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• No artificial nails in patient care departments

Orientation and Competency

Onboarding includes the first week of orientation followed by 1–2 days of unit-specific floor training. You will complete a pass/fail open book exam during orientation with a minimum score of 90% required to pass. The unit uses EPIC for charting.
