PCU RN Job in Omaha, NE

CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center – Bergan Mercy is seeking an RN for a 126-day travel assignment in its Progressive Care Unit (PCU). You'll work 3x12 nights (6:30 PM – 7:00 AM) on an 18-bed unit serving adult oncology and trauma patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to PCU patients with a ratio of 1:4 to 1:5
• Titrate insulin and Cardizem drips
• Administer chemotherapy, Heparin, and other common medications
• Monitor and operate high-flow respiratory equipment
• Participate in hourly rounding and bedside shift reports
• Chart in Epic using Alaris IV pumps
• Float to other Med/Surg and PCU units at the same level of care as needed

Qualifications:

• Current RN license with minimum 1 year experience; first-time travelers welcome
• Oncology experience preferred; strong PCU experience without oncology may be considered
• ACLS and BLS (AHA) certifications required
• Chemo and ONS/ONCC certifications preferred but not required
• Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
• Comfort with high-flow respiratory equipment required

Schedule & Benefits:

• Every other weekend required; self-scheduling with unit balancing
• Two days of unit orientation provided
• Weekly pay: $2,436.48
• Assignment begins September 14, 2026
