Endoscopy RN Job in Mineola, NY

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Endoscopy department at NYU Langone Hospital - Long Island MSP. This is a 12-week travel assignment beginning November 16, 2026.

Schedule and Pay

• 5 days per week, 7.5-hour shifts
• Hours: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
• Weekends not required
• Weekly pay: $2,267

Role and Responsibilities

You will float between Prep and PACU/Recovery areas, providing care across pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure phases for outpatient and hospitalized patients. Your patient population includes pediatrics, adolescents, and adults. You will perform and assist with procedures including ERCP, EUS, ESD, POEM, EMR, complex polypectomy, EGD, colonoscopy, and bronchoscopy. You will support both general anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) cases.

Required Skills and Experience

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience; travel experience required
• ICU or critical care experience required
• Airway management and IV insertion and maintenance
• Recovery from conscious sedation and administration and monitoring of conscious sedation
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Emergency response capabilities
• Specimen handling and labeling
• Circulating for procedures
• Staffing ratio experience: 1:3 (working ratio: 1:2)

Required Certifications and Licensing

• ACLS, BLS, PALS
• Active New York State RN license

Preferred Qualifications

• EPIC experience
• Pediatric experience

Additional Information

The facility uses Omnicell for medication management and SBAR for communication. Average daily census is 33 with approximately 5 visits per day across 6 rooms and 15 beds. Orientation is 22.5 hours. First-time travelers are not accepted for this position.
