Endoscopy RN Job in Mineola, NY

You will join the Endoscopy and GI procedural unit at NYU Langone Hospital - Long Island MSP as a Registered Nurse for a 12-week travel assignment. Your role will support PACU and recovery operations within a hospital-based setting, caring for both outpatient and hospitalized patients across all age groups—pediatric, adolescent, and adult.

Schedule and Requirements

• 5 shifts per week, 7.5 hours each: 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM
• Weekends not required
• Float required across units
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required; 2 years preferred
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
• ICU or critical care experience required
• PACU and recovery experience required

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in Pre-Procedure, Intra-Procedure, and PACU/Recovery areas
• Manage patient ratios of 1:2; experience with 1:3 ratios required
• Perform and assist with procedures including ERCP, EUS, ESD, POEM, EMR, complex polypectomy, EGD, colonoscopy, and bronchoscopy
• Support general anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care (MAC) cases
• Execute airway management, initiate and maintain IV lines, and manage recovery from conscious sedation
• Administer and monitor conscious sedation with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Handle emergency response situations, specimen handling, and labeling
• Circulate for procedures

Required Skills and Certifications

• Active New York State RN license
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• Pediatric experience preferred for nurses assigned to pediatric cases
• EPIC experience preferred
• Familiarity with Omnicell medication system
• SBAR communication method

Orientation includes 22.5 hours of onboarding. Weekly pay is $2,248. Assignment begins September 21, 2026.
