Opportunity:

RN - MICU

Job Details:

• 4x12 night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Must be located more than 75 miles from facility
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• New York nursing license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• EPIC charting experience is a hard requirement
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Care for patients in a 16-bed MICU unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, with occasional 1:1 based on acuity
• Patient diagnoses include sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, cardiac arrest, DKA, respiratory failure, GI bleed, overdose, and alcohol withdrawal
• Experience with special equipment including CRRT, IABP, Impella, and ECMO required
• Required skills include management of dysrhythmias, arterial line management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, BiPAP/CPAP management, ventilator care, ABG interpretation, CVVHD/CRRT, pulmonary artery line monitoring, hypothermia protocol, and neuromuscular blockade
• Candidates will be required to float
• Pre-approved time off limited to one request per contract
• Patients served include adults and geriatrics
