ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

• Work 12.5-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Minimum of 34.5 hours guaranteed per week
• Every other weekend and holidays required as needed
• Facility pays regular rate for overtime and holidays
• 13-week assignment duration
• Royal blue scrubs required
• BSN or higher degree from an accredited nursing school required
• New York State RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience required
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and De-Escalation certification
• Preferred certifications: CCRN and TNCC
• Must be proficient in managing patients with EVD, multiple medication drips, and use of Hemosphere Flotrac
• Must be proficient in managing trauma patients of varying severities
• Must perform assessments using CAM, CPOT, and RASS
• Must be proficient in care of patients undergoing hypothermia treatment
• Familiarity with pleurevac chest tube drainage required
• Familiarity with Allscripts EMR required
• Familiarity with PCA pump required
• Must observe strict isolation precautions including hand washing and gel in/gel out protocols
• Required to float to the SICU and IMCU as needed
