ED RN Job in Tucson, AZ

You will work as a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department at BUMC South Tucson (2800 E Ajo Way). This is a 3x12 night shift position with a duration of 89 days, starting September 28, 2026. Your weekly pay is $2,434.

Your Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice standards
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments including physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs
• Review patient history, diagnostics, and laboratory data, reporting abnormal results to physicians and appropriate caregivers
• Formulate and implement individualized plans of care based on patient-specific needs and the medical plan of care
• Coordinate, delegate, and supervise activities of the health care team to implement the plan of care
• Evaluate patient and family response to care and teaching, revising the plan of care as needed
• Document assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation accurately and timely in the patient record

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of ED RN experience
• Prior travel healthcare experience required
• Level III Trauma Center experience required
• Experience with psychiatric patients in an ED setting preferred
• Current Arizona RN license
• Required certifications: TNCC, NIHSS, BLS
• PALS certification preferred but not required
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
• Willingness to use standard precautions due to potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids
