ED RN Job in Phoenix, AZ

Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 89-day travel assignment beginning February 1, 2027, working 3x12 night shifts at $2,434 per week.

Your Role

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced emergency setting, managing diverse acuity levels and patient presentations. Your responsibilities include:

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments addressing physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, and cultural needs
• Review patient histories, diagnostics, and laboratory results, communicating abnormal findings to physicians and care team members
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care aligned with medical orders and organizational standards
• Coordinate and delegate healthcare team activities to maintain continuity and quality of care
• Evaluate patient and family responses to interventions and education, adjusting care plans accordingly
• Document assessments, interventions, and evaluations in the patient record with accuracy and timeliness
• Contribute to unit initiatives focused on nursing quality indicators and patient outcomes
• Mentor and precept staff, students, patients, families, and visitors as appropriate

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in Arizona
• Minimum one year acute care hospital experience with experience in an acute care setting within the past 12 months in the Emergency Department specialty
• Current BLS, TNCC, and NIH certifications required
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Professional certification preferred
