Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Des Moines, IA

UnityPoint – Iowa Methodist Medical Center is seeking an RN for our Cardiac Cath Lab on a temporary travel assignment. You'll work 4x10 day shifts for 91 days, beginning October 26, 2026, at $3,342 per week.

Role Overview

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced cardiac catheterization environment, supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures. Your responsibilities include circulating, monitoring, scrubbing, and assisting the interventional team while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and procedural excellence.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of current Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) experience
• Circulating and monitoring experience required
• Trauma Level II experience required
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
• Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license
• Valid driver's license
• Skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath Lab/CCL
• Reside at least 50 miles from the facility

Preferred Qualifications

• Structural heart experience
• EP (electrophysiology) experience
• Travel nursing experience
• Scrubbing experience
• Trauma Level I experience
• Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months

Schedule and Additional Duties

Day shifts are Monday through Thursday, 10 hours each. You will be flexible to float across all Des Moines campuses to like units as needed. On-call responsibilities include 1–2 nights per week and every third weekend from 7:30 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday. Weekend schedules may include assigned cases on rare occasion. You will precept staff as needed.
