Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Des Moines, IA

UnityPoint – Iowa Methodist Medical Center is seeking an RN for our Cardiac Cath Lab on a temporary basis. You'll work 4x10 hour day shifts, with an on-call schedule of 1–2 nights per week and every third weekend from 7:30 PM Friday through 7:00 AM Monday. Weekend schedules are based on your call rotation, with assigned cases on rare occasion. This is a 91-day assignment starting November 9, 2026, paying $3,449 weekly.

Requirements:

• Minimum 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience
• Circulating and monitoring experience required
• Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
• Skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath Lab/CCL
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Structural heart experience
• EP (electrophysiology) experience
• Travel healthcare experience
• Scrubbing experience
• Trauma Level I experience; Trauma Level II required
• Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months

You will be expected to float across all Des Moines campuses to like units as needed and to precept staff as needed. The facility uses EPIC for its electronic medical record system. This role offers the opportunity to contribute your expertise in a busy cardiac intervention setting while maintaining the flexibility of temporary staffing.
