Cath Lab RN Job in Cedar Rapids, IA

You'll work as a Registered Nurse in the Cardiac Cath Lab at UnityPoint - St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This is a temporary travel position running 91 days, starting September 21, 2026.

Position Details:

• Shift: 4x9 days with on-call rotation of 10 to 12 calls per month, including every 3rd weekend
• Weekly pay: $2,980.80
• Guaranteed: 16 hours per week minimum
• Unit size: 2-bed Cardiac Cath Lab

Clinical Responsibilities:

• Care for patients undergoing coronary PCI and structural heart interventions
• Manage equipment including Impella, IABP (intra-aortic balloon pump), and Penumbra devices
• Administer drips including vasopressors, vasodilators, and glycoprotein IIb/IIIa inhibitors

Requirements:

• Current Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license
• Minimum 24 months of Cardiac Cath Lab experience (first-time travelers welcome with at least 2 years of Cath experience)
• Proven experience with coronary PCI and structural heart patient types
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications required
• Cardiac Cath Lab skills checklist completion required
• Valid driver's license with residence at least 50 miles from the facility
• EPIC Cupid EMR experience highly preferred
• Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred

Schedule:

You are required to work 1–2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed.
