Cardiac Cath Lab RN Job in Des Moines, IA

UnityPoint – Iowa Methodist Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse for a temporary position in the Cardiac Cath Lab. You will work 4x10 hour day shifts for 91 days, beginning October 26, 2026, at $3,342 per week.

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide circulating and monitoring care in the Cardiac Cath Lab environment
• Scrub cases as needed and required by unit workflow
• Precept staff as assigned
• Float across Des Moines campus locations to support like units
• Participate in on-call schedule: 1–2 nights per week and every third weekend (Friday 7:30 PM through Monday 7:00 AM); weekend schedules may include assigned cases on rare occasions

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 24 months of current Cardiac Cath Lab experience
• Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license
• BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certifications
• Trauma Level II experience
• Skills checklist specific to Cardiac Cath Lab
• Valid driver's license
• Residence at least 50 miles from the facility

• Travel healthcare experience
• Scrubbing experience
• Trauma Level I experience
• Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months
