Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• Work 3x12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend coverage required every other weekend, with flexibility based on unit needs
• Float to other units may be required based on census needs
• Patient ratio of 4:1 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult and geriatric patients on a 32-bed cardiac telemetry unit
• Provide comprehensive nursing care and telemetry monitoring on a 24-hour basis to patients with cardiovascular conditions
• Focus on Heart Failure patients, managing inpatient care and arranging post-hospitalization services
• Perform continuous EKG monitoring and/or continuous oxygen saturation monitoring via telemetry
• Administer intravenous and oral medications to treat cardiac conditions and arrhythmias
• Prepare and coordinate patients for cardiac interventions, surgeries, diagnostic tests, and other procedures
• Provide holistic care addressing physical, emotional, psychological, spiritual, and cultural needs of patients and their families
• Use special equipment including Alaris IV equipment, Vocera, and TempMedIQ paging systems
• Medication system: Omnicell
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac telemetry nursing experience required; first-time travelers must have 3 years of specialty experience
• Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
• Trauma Level I experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and SC RN license
• Self-scheduling unit
