Job Details:

• Option to sign for 36 or 48 hours per week
• Patient ratios of 1:4-5, mixed PCU and telemetry acuity
• Every other weekend required (Saturday and Sunday)
• No on-call required
• Will float within service line to meet facility needs
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Telemetry/step-down experience required
• EKG interpretation and cardiac drip management required
• Relias EKG test is required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
• Epic charting system experience required
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care/management, chest tubes, continuous bladder irrigation (CBI), feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, managing cardiac and vasoactive drips, pacemaker management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, post cardiac angiogram care, pre/post cardiac cath and surgery care, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, wound care/wound vac
• Patient population consists of adults with diagnoses including CHF, arrhythmias/A-fib/A-flutter, ACS-STEMI/NSTEMI, heart valve disease, CAD, pulmonary hypertension, hypertensive crisis, chest pain/shortness of breath/syncope, pacemaker/AICD malfunction, acute renal failure, and pulmonary HTN
• Special procedures include cardiac catheterization, pacemaker/AICD placement, echocardiogram, stress testing, cardiac MRI/CT, cardioversion/ablation, carotid Doppler, pulmonary function tests, and anti-arrhythmic drug loading
• Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more
• Maximum of 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract
• No RTO allowed during the first week of assignment
• Block scheduling is not available
