Telemetry RN Job in Independence, MO

Join Centerpoint Medical Center MO as a Travel RN on our 36-bed Telemetry unit. This is a 91-day assignment beginning December 14, 2026, offering four 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) at $2,620 weekly pay.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care with ratios of 1:3 or 1:4 in the morning, or 1:4 to 1:5 in the afternoon, depending on patient care tech availability
• Perform central line and PICC line placements and management of vasoactive drips
• Conduct bedside shift reports, hourly rounding, and participate in daily leadership rounds
• Demonstrate advanced assessment and critical thinking skills in a telemetry setting
• Operate specialized equipment including BiPAP, Heated High-Flow Nasal Cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo Feeding Pumps
• Document patient care using the Meditech system
• Work as part of a collaborative team with unit secretaries available 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Unit Details

The telemetry unit typically operates as total RN-based care. You will float to Med-Surg units on a PRN basis approximately once per week. A rotating holiday schedule is required.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork

Dress Code

Charcoal grey scrub tops with charcoal grey or black scrub bottoms. Black or charcoal grey jackets are required, with the option to order unit-specific jackets.
