Telemetry RN Job in Independence, MO

You'll work as an RN on a 36-bed telemetry unit at Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence, MO. This travel position runs for 91 days, starting December 14, 2026, with a weekly pay of $2,620.

Schedule and Hours

• 4x12 days: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM shifts
• 48 hours guaranteed per week (preferred)
• Every 3rd weekend rotation required
• Rotating holiday schedule required

Patient Care Responsibilities

• Patient ratios of 1:3 AM and 1:4 PM, or 1:4 AM and 1:5 PM when patient care techs are present
• Perform bedside shift reports and hourly rounding
• Participate in daily leadership rounds
• Manage vasoactive drips using advanced assessment and critical thinking skills
• Perform or assist with central line or PICC line placement

Unit Environment

This is an RN-based care unit with limited tech support. Unit secretaries are available from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. You'll work with equipment including BiPAP, heated high-flow nasal cannulas, Alaris IV pumps, and Kangaroo feeding pumps. Documentation is completed using the Meditech system.

Additional Expectations

• Floating to Medical-Surgical units on a rotation basis
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Dress code: charcoal grey scrub tops; charcoal grey or black scrub bottoms; black or charcoal grey jackets
