Your Role

You will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced cardiac telemetry environment, managing post-cardiac procedural patients including those recovering from ablations, cardiac catheterizations, open-heart surgery (Post Op Day 1), and permanent pacemaker placements. You will administer and titrate IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone, and perform bedside procedures including IV insertions, nasogastric tube placement and maintenance, chest tube management, temporary pacemaker oversight, and Foley insertions.

Unit Support

The unit includes a Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary, and patient care technicians (PCTs) to support your workflow. You must work full-time hours including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period. Contract nurses may be floated to other areas where competency has been demonstrated.

  • ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
  • Experience with post-cardiac procedural care
