Telemetry RN Job in Kansas City, MO

Research Medical Center MO is seeking a travel RN for a 91-day assignment on our 29-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit. You'll work 4x12 night shifts (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) with 48 guaranteed hours per scheduling period and earn $2,630 weekly.

Role Details

You'll provide direct patient care with a 1:4 patient ratio alongside a Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary, and PCTs. Your responsibilities include reading and interpreting EKGs and telemetry strips, administering and titrating IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone, and managing post-cardiac procedural patients including those recovering from ablations, cardiac catheterizations, Open Heart Day 1, and permanent pacemaker placements.

Required Skills & Experience

• Current Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience
• Competency in IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, chest tube maintenance, temporary pacemakers, and Foley insertions
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Ability to work full-time hours including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period

Equipment & Systems

You'll work with Alaris IV Pumps, SCD machines, Hill Rom beds, Dinamap, Welch Allen Vital Machines, Wound Vacs, Temporary Pacemakers, Telemetry monitors, EKG machines, Bladder Scanners, Doppler, and iMobile for team communication. Documentation occurs in Meditech.

Expectations

Wear Navy Blue scrubs (black scrub pants with Navy Blue top acceptable). You may be floated to other areas where you've demonstrated competency. Treat every patient with courtesy and respect, respond promptly to call lights, and align with our patient experience goals.

Assignment begins November 30, 2026.
