Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 and 48 hour contracts accepted
• Every other weekend required
• Must be able to work holidays - must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• No call required
• Maximum of 7 days of RTO per contract
• Float required to ED and MedSurg areas as needed
• Patient ratios: MS/Tele 1:6-1:7 and may see PCU patients at 1:3-1:4
• ED Holding unit - patients located within the Emergency Department waiting for an inpatient bed
• Patients may have any medical/surgical adult diagnosis including PCU level patients
• Fast-paced environment with very high acuity patients
• Contract staff will be assigned to Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and may be required to report during catastrophic events or mass casualty situations
• 2 years of experience required
• Travel experience required
• MS/Tele and ER holding experience required
• Must be able to keep up with fast-paced unit and 1:6-7 ratios
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Required certifications: BLS, NIHSS
• CPI preferred
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Standard equipment including cardiac monitors, IV pumps, and other monitoring systems
• Medication and documentation systems: Pyxis, Epic, and SBAR
• Navy scrubs required
• NC or Compact license required
• 12 hours of orientation provided
