Telemetry RN Job in Winston Salem, NC

Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center Rapid Response is seeking a Registered Nurse for their Telemetry unit in Winston Salem, NC. You will work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM on a 4x12 schedule, with 36 or 48 hours available per week. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning November 9, 2026.

Role Overview

You will care for patients with cardiac diagnoses including arrhythmias, MI, ACS, uncontrolled diabetes, DKA, heart failure, post-cardiac catheterization, post-PPM, and post-ICD. Your patient ratio will be 1:6 with an average daily census of 23. You will manage cardiac drips—no titrating for blood pressure—and interpret dysrhythmias. Eight weekend shifts are required per contract. Floating to other units is required. There are no charge nurses on the unit, so teamwork is essential.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience; first-time travelers accepted with stepdown experience preferred
• Current cardiac telemetry experience
• Proficiency with IV starts and dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Active ACLS, BLS, and NIH certifications
• NC or compact nursing license
• EKG testing required prior to start

Preferred Skills

• Stepdown, PCU, or IMC experience
• Epic charting experience

Unit Details

You will use PYXIS, Epic, and SBAR communication systems. Orientation includes one day of Epic training followed by two days on the unit. Interdisciplinary support is available through IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams. Scrubs should be navy or white.

Compensation

Weekly pay is $2,442.
