Telemetry RN Job in Wilmington, NC

You will work as a Registered Nurse in Telemetry at Novant Health New Hanover Regional Medical Center. This is a 182-week travel assignment beginning November 23, 2026.

Shift & Schedule

• 4x12 night shifts (6:45 PM to 7:15 AM)
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call responsibilities

Role Expectations

• Patient ratio of 1:5–6
• Float required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding
• Must be prepared to work Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team; may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty, or disaster situations
• Charge experience preferred

Clinical Focus

You will care for patients with severe orthopedic, neurological, and trauma-related diagnoses, including bone and joint injuries, soft tissue trauma, traumatic brain injuries, spine injuries, and subdural hematoma.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years nursing experience
• Ortho/Neuro/Trauma experience required
• Blood product administration, central line blood draw, chest tube management, colostomy/ileostomy care, heparin drips, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, telemetry monitoring, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, ortho trauma, and traumatic brain injury care
• EKG testing required prior to start

Certifications & Licensure

• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• NC or Compact license required
• First-time travelers accepted

Orientation & Systems

• 12-hour unit orientation and 16-hour organizational education
• Unit systems: Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR
• Scrubs: Navy or white

Support & Resources

Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy.

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,470
