PACU - Post Anesthesia Care

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PACU

Job Details:

• Day shift position working 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
• No weekend, holiday, or on-call requirements
• 3 shifts per 13 weeks guaranteed hours
• Minimum 2 years of PACU experience in a Level I Trauma Center required
• Critical care or ICU experience required
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from facility
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS; CCRN and TNCC preferred
• Required charting system experience: Epic
• Care for adult, adolescent, and geriatric patient populations
• Recover post-surgical patients across specialties including neurosurgery, ENT, plastics, orthopedics, thoracic, vascular, trauma, general, colorectal, GYN, urological, electrophysiology, interventional radiology, and transplant
• Open heart surgery and liver transplant recovery not performed on this unit
• Manage high-acuity patients requiring artificial airways, invasive monitoring including ICP, transfusions, and vasoactive drugs
• Required skills include: dysrhythmia recognition and management, blood product administration, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, IV vasopressors, ICP monitoring, care of ventilated patients, Phase I PACU, and pre/post IR procedures
• Experience with drains, vasoactive drips, mechanical ventilation, and recovery from general anesthesia required
• Must pass Relias EKG exam
• May float to PACU or pre-op units as needed
• Scrub color: Navy Blue
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract
