Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts
• Every other weekend requirement
• Every other holiday requirement
• 6-9 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
• No on-call or standby requirement
• Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4-5 based on acuity
• Unit operates with 20 beds and 2 trauma bays averaging 150 patients per day
• Treat common diagnoses including abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension
• Must be able to read and interpret telemetry independently as no monitor technicians are available
• Will be trained and perform Point of Care lab testing
• Respiratory therapy available 24/7 for breathing treatments and ABGs
• Floating required between ERs within a 60-mile regional zone, including potentially between 84th and 144th ED locations
• Housing must be obtained within the 60-mile zone to accommodate floating requirements
• 2-3 days of unit-specific orientation required; must be in state for full week of orientation
• Charting performed using EPIC
• Scrub color requirement: Navy Blue
• BSN not required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
