ICU Registered Nurse Job in Waupaca, WI

ThedaCare - Waupaca is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract in our ICU. This is a hands-on role in a 20-bed critical access unit with an average daily census of 12-18 patients, where you will provide direct patient care in a rural hospital setting with higher acuity needs.

Position Details

• Schedule: 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
• Hours: 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Start date: September 14, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,521

Expectations

• Patient ratios of 1:5 normally, up to 1:7 on busier days
• Every other weekend required; Memorial Day availability needed
• Holiday rotation required
• Float requirements throughout facility within skillset and to all affiliated facilities within a 60-mile radius
• No on-call or callback requirements
• Any missed shift must be made up within 2 weeks of absence
• Comfort with patients on drips required

Qualifications

• Current Wisconsin RN License
• AHA BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Bachelor's Degree required
• 1–2+ years of nursing experience required
• EPIC charting experience within the last year required
• Stepdown experience strongly preferred
• Critical access experience strongly preferred
• Travel experience preferred
