ICU Registered Nurse Job in Waupaca, WI

ThedaCare - Waupaca is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Intensive Care Unit. You will work three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 PM to 7:00 AM) on a 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours weekly.

Unit & Patient Details

• 20-bed unit with average daily census of 12–18 patients
• Patient ratios of 1:5 normally, up to 1:7 on busier days
• Higher acuity due to rural hospital setting
• Patients on drips and stepdown-level care

Schedule & Expectations

• Every other weekend rotation required
• Holiday rotation required
• No on-call or callback requirements
• Float throughout facility within your skillset and to ThedaCare facilities within a 60-mile radius as needed (minimal due to unit needs)
• Any missed shift must be made up within 2 weeks of absence

Requirements

• Wisconsin RN License
• AHA BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• EPIC charting experience within the last year
• Minimum 1–2+ years of nursing experience
• Stepdown experience strongly preferred
• Critical access experience strongly preferred
• BSN strongly preferred but not required; Associate Degree or Certificate accepted

Compensation & Details

• Weekly pay: $2,521
• Contract duration: 91 days
