ICU Registered Nurse Job in Wausau, WI

Opportunity:

RN - ICU Neuro

Job Details:

• 12-hour day shifts
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• 13-week contract
• Float between Neuro Critical Care ICU and MSICU units with possible float to other critical care and inpatient units as needed
• No on-call or callback requirements
• Unit may utilize low census in 4-hour increments; contract is eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours
• Work in an 8-bed Neuro unit caring for stroke, TBI, head injury, and neurosurgery patients
• Perform Neuro assessments and basic bedside ICU procedures including line placement and intubation
• Neuro-specific procedures include bolt and drain bedside placements with Neurosurgery
• Familiarity with EVDs and ICP monitoring required
• Minimum 2 years of experience with Med/Surg ICU and/or Neuro ICU background required
• Strong Neuro assessment skills required
• 1 travel assignment preferred
• Experience as Neuro Interventionalist a plus
• EPIC charting experience required
• Required certifications: WI RN License, BLS (AHA or ARC), ACLS (AHA or ARC), and NIHSS
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
