Med Surg RN Job in Saint Louis, MO

Mercy Hospital St Louis is seeking an RN for a Med Surg Neuro position on the night shift. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning July 6, 2026.

Position Details

• Shift: 3x12, nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Weekly pay: $1,971
• Guaranteed hours: 36 or 48 per week based on your preference
• No call requirements
• Patient ratio: 1:5-6
• Rotating weekend schedule with expectation of every other full weekend (Saturday and Sunday required)
• Expected to work at least one major winter holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's Day)

Your Role

You will provide nursing care for neurosurgical patients including those with stroke, seizures, MS, back/head/spinal and other neurological diagnoses or neurosurgery procedures. You will utilize the nursing process to maintain professional accountability for provision of patient care for assigned patients. You will evaluate overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments. You will float as needed within scope. Willingness to take occasional charge nurse role is required; charge experience is helpful but not required.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of inpatient acute care Med Surg and Neuro experience
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• FIT test will be required on site
