ED RN Job in Tucson, Arizona

Northwest Medical Center in Tucson, Arizona is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning September 28, 2026.

Role and Responsibilities

• Work 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, three days per week
• Provide direct nursing care to Emergency Department patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with Arizona Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy
• Demonstrate critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating patient care needs
• Delegate patient care priorities to available staff based on their education and experience
• Provide supervision and direction of assigned personnel
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education
• Be willing to float to other units as needed

Qualifications

• Current Arizona nursing license required
• Minimum 2 years of emergency nursing experience
• Charge nurse experience preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Cerner EMR experience preferred
• NIH certification recommended (not required)

Facility Details

Northwest Medical Center is a Trauma Level III Certified facility with Stroke Receiving and STEMI Receiving designations. You will work in a fast-paced environment with access to comprehensive emergency care resources.

Compensation and Schedule

Weekly pay is $1,940. A 48-hour guarantee is available. Dress code requires black scrubs.
