Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• 3x12 night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers welcome
• Patient ratios of 1:5-6; beds are capped to ensure RNs do not exceed 6 patients
• BLS required; ACLS preferred
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Telemetry remote monitoring experience required
• Charge RN experience preferred
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam (2 attempts allowed)
• May be floated to all Cone Health campuses as needed for patient care
• Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
• Unit specializes in general surgical patients, pre-op and post-op care, medical overflow (excluding true cardiac), with BiPAP and drip capabilities
• Skills required include telemetry/remote monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, blood product administration, IV insulin protocols, wound care/wound vac, PICC line management, tracheostomy care, high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP management, and central line blood draws among others
• Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more
