Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

• 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
• 36 or 48-hour contracts accepted with longer contracts of 13-26 weeks available
• 5-6 weekend shifts required over a 6-week scheduling period
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6
• Float required as needed within and near the facility
• Contract staff will be assigned to a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters
• Care for adult patients with diagnoses including Congestive Heart Failure, Arrhythmias, Pacemaker/ICD implantations, and Pre/Post Cardiac Cath
• Manage cardiac drips including Dobutamine, Amiodarone, Cardizem, Milrinone, Dopamine, and Diltiazem
• Perform Sheath Pulls, TR Bands, and Femstop procedures
• Utilize Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR systems for medication, documentation, and communication
• Navy scrubs required
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of experience required with strong Cardiac Tele, PCU, IMC, or Stepdown experience
• Must be willing to work in a fast-paced unit
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• 24-hour unit orientation
