MRI Technologist Job in Rochester, NY

ADEX Healthcare Staffing is seeking an MRI Technologist for a travel position at URMC Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. This is a local assignment—no relocation required.

Position Details:

• Shift: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 PM–6:00 AM (4x10 nights)
• Duration: 89 days
• Start date: November 16, 2026
• Weekly pay: $2,827

Your Responsibilities:

• Operate GE MRI machines safely and efficiently
• Prepare patients for scans and explain procedures to ensure comfort before and during imaging
• Insert IVs when necessary for contrast injection procedures
• Coordinate with physicians to deliver timely diagnostic results
• Document all procedures while maintaining patient confidentiality
• Perform patient care tasks as assigned
• Maintain a clean, safe scanning environment
• Availability to work holidays per unit needs

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
• Associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology
• ARRT certification
• GE scanner experience required
• Injection certification required
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required
• BLS certification through American Heart Association
• New York State Radiology Tech license (you may obtain after starting)
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Familiarity with medical terminology
