Med Surg RN Job in Rochester, NY

URMC Strong Memorial Hospital is seeking a Med Surg RN to join the orthopedic and trauma unit in Rochester, NY. This 89-day travel assignment offers 12-hour shifts with rotating days, evenings, and nights. You will earn $2,368.08 per week working 36 or 48 hours per week, with flexibility to match your schedule needs.

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care for orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery, and elective orthopedic surgical cases
• Manage rotating shift schedules including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed by unit operations
• Take on floating and charge nurse responsibilities per unit requirements
• Collaborate as an effective team member in a Level 2 trauma facility environment
• Participate in education and professional growth opportunities within a research and innovation-focused department

Required Qualifications:

• Current New York RN license (NY licenses only)
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Orthopedic experience required
• Telemetry experience required
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma facility preferred
• BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
• ACLS certification (American Heart Association only)
