ED Registered Nurse Job in Lansing, MI

Sparrow Hospital, a Level I Trauma Center in Lansing, Michigan, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Emergency Department. This is a 91-day travel assignment beginning August 4, 2026, with 3x12-hour night shifts at $2,151.36 per week.

Position Overview

You will work in a 62-bed ED with 4 resuscitation rooms and a mix of 48 adult and 14 pediatric patient rooms. The department uses a 5-level triage system and advanced nursing guidelines. Patient populations include infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Night shift patient ratios are 1:4–7; ratios may be higher in low acuity areas.

Schedule and Expectations

You will work 12-hour night shifts with a variable weekend schedule of 3 weekends per 4-week cycle (Friday through Sunday), with flexibility in how many days you work each weekend. No on-call responsibilities. Floating within the ED is required, including possible pediatric ED float assignments.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• Level I Trauma Center experience
• EPIC charting experience
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Current ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke Scale certification
• Michigan nursing license (compact license not accepted)
• ENPC preferred

Preferred Experience

• Continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration
• Triage operations

Core Clinical Skills

You must be proficient in arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, phlebotomy, and isolation precautions and PPE.
