ED Registered Nurse Job in Iron River, MI

Aspirus Iron River is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Emergency Department. This is a 13-week contract position starting July 20, 2026.

Shift & Schedule

• 3 twelve-hour night shifts per week
• Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly; overtime available after 80 hours in the second week
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• May be placed on low census call with a 2-hour minimum callback

Facility & Work Environment

You will work in a 9-bed Emergency Department equipped with 2 negative pressure rooms and 2 trauma bays. The ED maintains a staffing ratio of 2 RNs on day shift through 11:00 PM and 1 RN on nights with charge nurse assist. You may float to a 2-bed ICU and 25-bed Med/Surg unit as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform ED assessments and deliver general nursing care
• Manage diverse patient populations including geriatric patients with CHF or COPD, diabetic ketoacidosis, trauma, stroke, cardio-respiratory emergencies, and pediatric patients
• Assume charge RN shifts as part of the role

Requirements

• Current Michigan RN license
• ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications
• Minimum 3 years of ER experience; 5 years strongly preferred
• Associate Degree or Certificate required; Bachelor's Degree preferred

Compensation

Weekly pay: $2,325.96
