ED - Emergency Room

Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts available
• Variable weekend schedule required - 3 weekends (Friday through Sunday) per 4-week schedule; may be scheduled 1, 2, or all 3 days of the weekend
• No on-call responsibilities
• Floating required - Pediatric ED float possible
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Level I Trauma Center experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias experience required
• Continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration experience preferred
• Triage experience preferred
• Patient ratios: Days 1:4-6, Nights 1:4-7; ratios may be higher in low acuity areas
• Patient population includes adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
• Department includes 4 resuscitation rooms, 62 private patient rooms (48 adult and 14 pediatric)
• Utilizes a 5-level triage system and advanced nursing guidelines
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), PALS, TNCC, NIH Stroke Scale
• ENPC preferred
• Michigan nursing license required; compact license not accepted
• Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, IV vasopressors, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, phlebotomy, and isolation precautions/PPE
