Case Management RN Job in Carmichael, CA

Mercy San Juan Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Case Management role in Carmichael, CA. You will work 5x8 day shifts, with hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. Every other weekend is required, with at least one full weekend per month. Holiday work is not required, though willingness to work holidays is appreciated.

In this role, you will manage 15–20 patient consults per day, covering all areas of the hospital. Your responsibilities include:

• Conducting initial assessments and discharge planning
• Performing utilization review using Interqual criteria
• Working with all payers, including uninsured and homeless patient populations
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams on patient care coordination
• Using Cerner charting system and Interqual EMR for documentation
• Balancing discharge planning and utilization management duties
• Reprioritizing tasks throughout the day based on patient and hospital needs

You will operate under a first-to-float policy and are expected to communicate effectively across departments. Business casual attire is required.

Requirements:

• Current RN license in California
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
• Prior recent experience with CA Dignity Health system
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

This is a 105-day travel assignment beginning November 10, 2026. Weekly pay is $3,279.
